Can’t tell you how big United are in Africa. I’ve met francophone Africans who can tell you all about Yorke and Cole, Zimbabwe Reds, Cameroonian Reds who ove Djemba-Djemba, white South Africans of Croatian origin arguing about Maguire with Zulu guys.

My wife used to wear a United top with patients to help calm kids/break the ice.
