Manchester City have failed with a bid for Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi, according to local Spanish reports.

But Rossi's agent Federico Pastorello denies that a bid has been lodged by the Eastlands club and indicates that the striker is almost certain to remain at El Madrigal next term.

"Nobody has offered the going price and I am 99 per cent certain the player will be with Villarreal next season," he said.

"Rossi is happy in Villarreal and would only consider leaving for one of Europe's six big clubs."

He was being blocked by several of his clown defenders infront of him, hes only 19 and he's been superb for nearly a year since breaking through.

I'd prefer a Neuer or Lloris due to their experience, but if the club feel De Gea could be special then i'll understand.

We should actually just write Lloris off to United completely because Lyon are @#%&!s.

He'd be straight back here. In reply to someone on Twitter asking him to come back to replace Rooney:
