Pique looks like a very similar player to young rio for me. Very quick, good feet, drives forward from CB but positionally naive. Zaragoza stick him at right back don't they?

Zaragoza play him in midfield I think and he's done well. My point is, he can play centre back, fullback and midfield just like Shea. He's said publicly he'd rather stay in Spain thatn come back to Uniteds reserves so there isa genuine question as to wether we let him go and keep Shea or keep him and give hin Sheas role in the squad.

He's not quick. But he's certainly no slower than Terry, Vidic et al.

Really? Who would you have ahead of who though? 'cos Piques made it clear he wants to go if he's not featuring and I'm not sure how Shea would react to being further back in the pecking order. Don't forget Evans is coming back from Sunderland too.

Vidic isn't as slow as some people make out.

But he isn't quick either. Certainly off the mark he often looks sluggish.

Really? Any evidence to suggest this? I presume you mean on loan 'cos there's no way Fergie's selling Evans given how highly he's stated he rates him.
