Sounds good to me. Although I'd rather there were a few more bit part players.

Imagine how Terry and Lampard will feel making up a guard of honour for the likes of Richardson

I think it'll be very sparse.

All indications from Fergie point to pretty much all the main men getting a rest.

I think Rio and Vidic will play to give them games together.

I think it's a wise move from Fergie. No full side - no psychological edge for Chelsea if we lose.

Sunday is the real party and means something to West Ham and the other sides down there.
Take the piss tonight, finish the league on a high on Sunday and win the FA Cup.

Oh right, the team.

It really doesn't matter but I don't want to see us hammered. Chelsea will not rest many, if any, and I'm not keen on Utd suffering a 4-0/5-0 defeat ahead of the FA Cup Final.

Although I guess the result tonight won't make one bit of difference to that game.

I doubt it'd be a high score anyway.
Chelsea don't really do high scores. I imagine they'll be taking it pretty easy too even if the line up is strong.

To be honest I don't care about the result. We've won the title, let's get tonight out the way with no injuries and without tipping our hand in any way. Then let's pick a full team on Sunday and try and get Combat 18 relegated

I can't see how it can do us any good to get spanked by Chelsea, no matter what team we put out, so I think it will be a very strong side.

...........................van der sar...........................
o'shea............ferdinand.......vidic........... ....heinze
...........fletcher........carrick........scholes. ............
.......ronaldo.................................... rooney.......
...............................saha............... .................

It's almost impossible to call, though.

I'd be very surprised if any of Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo and Rooney play both this and the West Ham game on Sunday.

Despite Fergie's wanting to be fair to the relegation sides, it really would be in United's best interests to play a strong side tonight, and then give most of our big players a ten-day break ahead of the FA Cup final.

I disagree. Ten days is probably too long and they might get a bit ring rusty. A week is perfect and they would all have played together in the previous game. That sort of thing makes a difference.
You also have to ask yourself what kind of a team Chelsea are goign to put out tonight. All this applies to them too.

Ha ha ha. That team is a load of £#%&!. 5-0 to Chelsea, piece of piss.

I can understand his decision to rest one or two but 'that' side.

If I was Jose and I saw that line up I'd tell the players to £#%&! the guard of honour right off.
