We’ve already booked out our red London double-decker bus with some of the Man U fans from our own [NSW supporters] club

Club supporters plan to paint the steps of the Opera House red in preparation for a fan day, which will see central Sydney come to a stop for Manchester United — regarded as the greatest sporting team in the world.
Sparky won't like that.

The NSW Supporters club has always been pure cringe. I've had a membership on and off for a few years. You used to get a monthly 'magazine' that was a photocopy of photocopied articles from the United magazine and various newspapers.

I shit you not, each page used to have pictures (very badly cut out) from the Dandy or Beano, with speech bubbles coming from Minnie the Minx or Dennis the Menace's mouth saying shit like "I love Man U" or "Up yours Liverpudlians" :shakehead:

I'm thinking if I come down earlier I might go and watch GWS v Essendon at Skoda Stadium (nextdoor to ANZ) and get on a few jars there. Game starts at 2.10pm and will finish just before the ANZ stadium gates open.
