They will use football as an alert system.

If people take notice of the tier 4 shite, football will continue but if we get one off raves in the news, they'll take football away as a "shit look its real, footballs cancelled !"

Was watching Marshall McLuhan rattle on about media last night and he mentioned how Baseball wouldn't be a game if no crowd was present. Would just be practice.

Feels that way now. But better than nowt (if we win the league).

quite shocking really that they can get away with it...the day after the game is called off they are out training

if they could train and be on the pitch, they should have been made to play yesterday

They have to have some rule for this. Maybe you can have one game postponed but after that you either forfeit or put out some sort of (tested covid free) team. It's rife for abuse otherwise.

'The Premier League has not discussed pausing the season and has no plans to do so.

'The League continues to have confidence in its COVID-19 protocols to enable fixtures to be played as scheduled, and these protocols continue to have the full backing of Government.

'With the health of players and staff the priority, the League is also fully supportive of how clubs are implementing the protocols and rules.'

“No plans to do so” always means “we’re going to do it but haven’t made the actual plan yet”
