As i've just said, I've been impressed by him and was very surprised to hear about him struggling.

I wasn't giving Gibbo grief I don't think, not sure you were referring to me anyway. I'm just yet to be convinced he has the pace or drive to make it at United.

People said that about Lampard. What more can you ask of gibson? He started and scored.

He is a player that needs to play. You can see his improvement with every game. He has superb technique and his goal threat is a huge asset. Ferguson rates him very highly.

Said it about Kevin Nolan too.

I s'pose the only thing you can ask of him is to "keep it up" so to speak.

I will add that Gibson is ahead of Fletcher as a player at his age i think, although not in terms of first team experience, mind Fletcher's development over the last coupla years has been nowt short of staggering.
