Makes it bemusing he signed for Valencia. Should have waited for the tournament to end and I'm sure off the back of these performances he'd find better clubs interested in signing him.

Nothing quiet about it if we are not judging on preconceptions, been one of the best players at this tournament.

Deschamps totally Van Gaal'd the whole thing. £#%&!er.

Utterly delighted for Ronnie.

You know how this is going to plan out now. Messi will keep doing his thing for Barca and comeback to the national team in time for Russia 2018. Like Zidane when he walked out, kept turning down pleas to return until the last moment so he could have a last hurrah in 2006.

I suppose just in terms of pundits. Not a whisper from them. As many goals as anyone other than Griezmann and did all the dirty work he's accused of never doing tonight.

That is true, the grudging praise of Pepe also stands out, the best CB in the world, phenomenal player, but the majority of the talk is over his antics.

The thing with Nani and pundits is they are always hesitant to give him his due. Even when he puts in a storming performance, gives the full back a seizure and performs a gold medal worthy back-flip it's immediately followed up with a quip along the lines "he just doesn't do it enough"

Eiffel tower lit up in France's colours despite them doing it for the big winners every match day.

Poor losers.

Id be happy to see that, as long as this time the headbutt was perpetrated on him
