Thumbs up Man Utd bid £4.5m for Ramsey

MANCHESTER United have tabled an official £4.5 million offer for Cardiff City wonderkid Aaron Ramsey.

Sources in the north west say Sir Alex Ferguson has put the written offer in front of the Bluebirds as the bidding war hots up for the most sought-after youngster in British football.

United's fellow Premiership giants Arsenal and Liverpool are also beleived to have put in official bids for Ramsey, while Everton are on the verge of joining the race for his signature.

It is understood the Bluebirds are holding out for a minimum of £5 million for the teenager.

So they're holding out for £5 million, and we bid £4.5. Isn't that just a tad petty? Why not just wrap the deal up by offering the asking price rather than behaving like we're buying a used car off Frank Butcher FFS?!

This the sort of attacking midfielder you had in mind, dunk? Now with Scholesy essentially playing a more Pirlo role in the side....

I've not seen him play, so I can't really comment.

But I am open to signing someone who can play the more forward role in the centre of midfield, play a bit and join up with the strikers, as an alternative/back-up to Anderson. I hope this is an apt description of his game.

He's probably the right age for cameo appearances and light work next year too, allowing Anderson and Scholes to share the brunt of responsibility with someone being groomed in the wings, as I see Rodrigo doing for Carrick's role.
