He's such an effective player, regardless of the fact that he's not an instinctive goalscorer.
He's very good in a front-three where he can play wide of the central striker, hug the touchline and also drop deep and come inside. This was highlighted perfectly in the games against Madrid last season where they couldn't handle him.
Obviously clueless £#%&!wits will point and scream about his goalscoring record, but it's not the be-all and end-all of his game, ffs. I'd wager it's the same type of £#%&!wits that took 6 years to understand what Carrick does for the team.
