Poor form.

Hope he comes Back stronger and with his priorities right.
Actually this ^

Looked like a 32 year old builder on the tour. Infact he's got a head of man not far off his 40s. Shape, gait, width. I'm not saying his whole body but his head clearly is aging fast.
They should have twigged it in the medical. like they did with that lyon player who had bad teeth and they said it would affect his back. They should have taken one look at shaw's cranium and sent him out in a white van to buy breakfast rolls.
Him and Jones at the back are like a £#%&!ing quik fit ad.

If your diagnosis is correct, we've bought nothing but years of trouble.

Bloody hell.

Having played such a crucial role in getting Young Sheezy to United, I'm very disappointed by this news. Double whammy after he turned up at the club looking a mess.

Reece James to start on Saturday then? Or Young left Lingaard right if Valencia is out.

Just the beginning as well. We'll have at least 2 centre backs out by the beginning of September too, because, well, it's united isn't it.

Shaw will be fine. He's got a great first team coach to advise him on hamstring injuries anyway.

Thumbs down

Useless fat £#%&!.

Imagine turning up to your new office job on a Monday morning in tracksuit bottoms, no shoes, pissed up and smoking a crack pipe.

It's basically what Shaw has done.

Phantom injury. Not in the interest of either party to admit he's not mentally or physically ready, so this buys a bit of time.

How did it happen? would not have thought there was enough time after the World Cup to lose condition to that extent, even Rooney did not have his usual summer bloat to work off.

This is exactly why I didn't want to sell Evra. New young signings usually take time to settle in.

Could be an easy gainer - Anderson arse is clear in the images I've studied.

the club wanted to keep him but think the time was right for his family really. LVG was going to make him captain.

paying a 19 yr old £100k a week as if he will keep up his performances after 4 years is a big gamble though...takes a lot of hunger to keep up the commitment you showed as a teenager through your mid to late 20s.

btw if it's a month then it's only going to be a strain. Not a tear or a serious pull.

He'll be back in 3 weeks imho.

Aren't hamstring injuries commonly associated with players who aren't fit enough and try and overtrain?

I reckon Shaw's tried over-training in an attempt to get in shape quickly. Whatever the answer, it's an incredibly unprofessional start to his United career, and certainly something that Van Gaal will be disgusted by, given his high focus on discipline, fitness and professionalism.

Needs to knuckle-down and get his head right. This isn't the small pond anymore, pal; you're expected to be the height of professionalism at Manchester United. Anything less is not good enough.
