All the people who claimed Messi was the better player are going to look stupid. Defence's are shit in Spain. Ronaldo will probably score 40 a season over there.

He's probably the best player since Maradona and will go down as one of the all time greats.

The La Liga defences are shit in general.

However, we couldn't score against them in three attempts last year.

This despite Barcelona featuring a defender who was considered less valuable than John O'Shea.

Hopefully, though, this might change this year with a proper multi-faceted attack.

Best of luck to Ronaldo, we're not missing him.

A player with his talent and finishing could finish with an absolutely obscene amount of goals in that league. Players not even a fraction as good as him regularly score 20+ so I expect him to smash scoring records over there and good luck to the lad too. It was a pleasure to watch him at Old Trafford and he's shown the club, fans and manager nothing but respect since his move unlike some.

he was never going to stay here for the whole of his career like giggs/scholes/nev ....just wish he'd stayed for another season or two though.

we'll do fine without him, no question.

If you're on about Pique he had 1 year left on his contract and wanted to go. Nothing Fergie could do
