Not a chance in hell his basic wage will be anywhere near it. Adding the signing on fee doesn’t count. That’s effectively part of his transfer fee. He’ll be around the same as pogba or Rooney last season.

Plus the signing on and agent fees.

Barca have just paid 140m for coutinho ffs. Nowhere near as good as Sanchez. The total cost is probably double that of Sanchez.
If he's on 250k a week that's 210m on the new TOTAL PACKAGE scale.

It’s perfectly possible that he’s coming to United for the money, but pretty much none of those people know that. It’s pure bitterness. And even if he is, so what? He seems to be being hit with a mercenary tag that has evaded Aguero, Toure and pretty much every @#%&! that signed for City or Chelsea over the last 10 years.

We’re swapping a fella who hasn’t been getting in our squad every week for Alexis £#%&!ing Sánchez, who we can all agree is in the top 3 players currently in the league. A swap ffs.

Ridiculously good business from United.
Exactly. This is an outstanding signing. Swapping some deadwood, weakling for one of the best players in the league. Makes us a real force again.

Add a top class right back, centre half and centre mid to this pool and we are back in business, there's nqat.

Top 10 yes, top 5 maybe but top 3? Nah, not for me, would take Hazard, De Bruyne, Pogba, Kane, Silva, De Gea all ahead of him. Aguero maybe as well, even though he might be on the downside, but you could have similar concerns over Sanchez. Salah also pushing hard.

His wages mean that he will have to come in and not just perform, but be a top pro and a leader as well. Very divisive character at Arsenal, if he starts playing up squad morale could be an issue.

Only when he decided he wanted to leave. Everything was £#%&!ing hunky dory before that. Sanchez on his day is unplayable; he will have a point to prove now as well. Plus so what if not? There's no transfer fee and we are swapping him for a lemming. Mkhitaryan is an ineffectual piece of shit in a Mourinho team for the most part. He doesn't even get on the bench half the time and we are swapping him for Sanchez ffs.

It's a shame as Mickhi js potentially shit hot. But as much as I like him as a footballer. It's a £#%&!ing no brainer

Quietly building a decent team behind all the agent fees etc...

..................Matic.....Pogba......
Ling/Mata.....Sanchez........Martial/Rashford
......................Lukaku............

Go for a CM in the summer and jobs a goodun

Hoping for quality over quantity from him. Don't expect his style of play to last as he gets to 32/33, especially given his workload. Chile missing the WC is a bonus for Utd, a summer off, get him in great shape and hope he can peak for a season or 2.

Needs to be both as on that money he’s here for a long time whatever happens

Not that worried about him as personality. Don’t remember any bad stories before this season.

this. on his day, mkhi is quite a good player, but it's always a pleasant surprise. sanchez is on another level in terms of talent and consistency. arsenal (and city and chelsea) are putting a brave face on it.

whatever shit journos say about the cost (they always do with united), it is the £#%&!ing steal of the window. we were totally wasting money with mkhi, because mourinho hates him.

Miki was good at times last season, even started this season well. Pity that it has fallen away so badly, but he is 29 himself, not potential to be patient with, was supposed to be a player for now.

At least he was better than Kagawa.

if you had to put him in a group with kagawa or sanchez, he's no better than kagawa. soz.

Dwight Yorke and RVP apparently came to us for the money too.

Similarly frustrated players with a lot of talent, hitting their peak with no PL title to their name.

If we don't compete, it's a sign of our dwindling appeal and power. If we do compete, we're just buying success.

Can't win.

You'd think the 'neutral' pundits would be pleased to see a side 12 points off the top trying to make the league more competitive.

As someone says above, what are we supposed to Do? Just £#%&!ing sit and accept city as better. Accept second place?

The whole thread is worth a read. Neymar should cost PSG £450m

Kind of think I'd like someone better than Alexis for this sort of cheese tbh
This. He’s obviously class and it’s great news but I’m struggling to remember too many great moments at Arsenal...
