After 27 games: Ole/Ralf = 47 points. This season = 50 points
Was surprised to read this considering how different the moods are, and not sure what to take from it, as we're clearly in a much better position (or it feels like we are).
Although this time last season we were only a point off fourth, so not much different. Did it get much worse from this point last season or something? Can't really remember much of anything under Ralf. Obviously a trophy makes a massive difference in the perception, but was surprised given how dreadful we were under Ole and then Ralf last season. Could've put it in the surveillance thread, but I don't think this is a reflection of Ten Hag at all, more what we're still missing from the squad. |

Yes, the end to last season was utterly dreadful. Both our stand-in manager and the players had basically given up
At least we *should* be spared a repeat of that now. (also, this time we gave the rest of the league a two game start - hope we don't pay for that when all is said and done) |

I noticed this yesterday, I think when someone pointed out Liverpool’s points tally is worse than ours was last season at the same stage. Didn’t want to say anything but i did briefly touch cloth when it hit me. Managed to clench and held it in as I remembered we’ve won a trophy and still might win another one or two. It’s worth noting that if we had Casemiro and Eriksen running the midfield we’d probably have another 10-15 points to our name, as our form was fantastic when both were playing.

he not deserving of the praise he has been getting lately.
to be honest if we finish the season outside of the top 4 and with just the carabao cup then it’s not been that good season especially after spending £200m from his signings only 1 can be labelled a total success as of today. For a management team with so many busy fools we seem to set up completely wrong every away game. read a stat saying we have not won away against any of the top 10 away from home and conceded an average of 4 goals a game at that! |

Martinez - brilliant Casemiro - brilliant Eriksen - brilliant and it was a genuine shame he got injured when he did as we were in great form Malacia - decent Antony - inconsistent but clearly going to be a world beater in a year or two. It’s no coincidence that we looked worse today the moment he came off the pitch. He was our best player up top and the only one who was showing a bit of grit. Weghorst - a signing made out of necessity, nothing special but really he wouldn’t be here if Martial ate his veggies more often |

We’re a shitload better than those teams. We just need a better midfield, and options when the first two are out. ETH is hamstring by absolutely shot players when the world class Casemiro & very good Eriksen are unavailable. Get them back, and hopefully a fit Martial, and I’d gamble we’d win 10 on the spin. |
