What luck did we have against Bayern?...other than they hit the woodwork a couple of times. I'd say them going a goal up from a freekick that was never a freekick in a million years & us being without our first choice central midfield was pretty unlucky tbh Having the balls & the instinct to go for the second goal having just rescued the game had nothing to do with luck & everything to do with how £#%&!ing great that group of players were. |

I think its unlikely, whilst you need a degree of luck to win any cup, i think the manager is massively important, team talks, substitutions, experience etc
I find Moyes lacking for this, and he will probably need 5/6 years to get the respect experience. Though I will support him, and maybe we could get lucky win a EC and leapfrog all that experience build up. I just feel that relatively equal squads facing each other, your Mourinho, pellegrini, klopp, Guardiola's will have an edge over Evertons David Moyes. |

Over the 120 minutes, we were certainly no worse. As for the penalties, well yeah |

I think there's an importation distinction between being the best team in Europe and the best team in the competition that year. Inter weren't the best team in Europe in 2010, but theu beat the best in Europe so they deserve it. Chelsea were scabby last year but they beat Barca over two legs etc
