Default What can ETH do to get us out of this mess?

He tried resting Bruno and Rashford to no effect..midfield looks all over the shop..defence an unmitigated disaster...

Pack the midfield and try and grind out some points?

Trust the process.

We’ll be fine.

He could start by chopping Dalot’s legs off and saying he’s injured.

It was good to see AWB back last night. I think we just need to get one or two of the others back properly, particularly the defenders, and build from there.

I don’t think ETH has lost the dressing room, and I don’t think the players have downed tools or stopped trying. I think we have been hit by everything possible from the start of this season, nothing has gone our way, and it’s clear to see the confidence of everyone has been knocked badly.

A couple more players back, a settled team and we should be ok.

The defence can.be sorted by players coming back but we hardly ever look like scoring the threat going forward is neglible. We never get outside the full backs or get any crosses in.

Phone Qatar and ask them to bid £10m.

I think we it's a case of going back to the basics. It's all very worthy having a plan for this high intensity fast transition football, but when we're failing to get the basics of touch, passing and positioning its a recipe for a shitshow.

You don't just jump into confidence up to your neck, we need to ease back into it with some solid performances and starting to pick up regular points.

We know we're better than this season has been so far.

Feels like a big clear the air meeting is needed to get to the bottom of things, it needs to be made clear to the players that he is the boss so its his way or the highway anyone who doesn’t like it or isn’t up for the fight can go and join sancho.

The time for soft soaping the pampered @#%&!s is over they need to man up and start justifying the salaries they think they are worth, at the moment there’s too many of them just going through the motions and waiting for someone else to turn things round they need to realise its on them.

In previous years during a rough spell Fergie would adopt the old “its us against the world” mantra it’s a bit basic, but that’s where we are at the moment – we need to see some fight and spirit and then ally it to the type of football ETH wants

Clear the decks meeting with the players - commit to a fresh start, no favourites.
Build bridges with Sancho
Get the defence back fit and playing through the pain if necessary
Put together a formation that plays to the strenghts of the team and the players available. If that means 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 or whatever, so be it.
Sell Antony.
Send Amrabat back
Buy some decent players
Bring in some fresh coaching talent (a quieroz or meulensteen or someone to change things around)
Cross his fingers

Oh, and take Dalot out the back and shoot him

Surely that conversation has been had already.

After each humbling defeat, there’s stories about what they’ve done that week:

Run the amount of miles Brentford ran
Extra day’s training
A few days off
Listening to City dressing room celebrations

The usual motivational tactics to try and get a rise out of them.

We’ve even had moments this season on the pitch where we hope it’s a catalyst for something. We’ve had 97th minute winners and 96th minute penalty saves this season and it’s prompted nothing.

They’re never going to get it. They don’t need to get it. They all know they can keep this up, outlast another manager and get a clean slate again.

When there’s no standards from the top, you can’t impose them in the day to day.

I’ll be absolutely stunned if he manages to turn this around.

I fear we’re locked into that familiar tail spin now and it’s only a matter of time until we see the club do what they’ve done 4 times in the last 10 years.

Exactly. Defence has an excuse. We've been playing Johnny Evans ffs. What's the excuse for midfield and attack?

He can’t. Most of these @#%&!s threw a club legend under the bus who pandered to them. Ten Hag has no chance.

Martinez and Shaw are big misses in attack and defence tbf.

Once we’re out of the champions league he’ll be gone imo.

Start again.

Clear the air meeting, encourage players to speak out. Try and build some sort of unity and break down the factions.

Switch to a 352 possession based system now that we have a keeper to support it.

Onana

Maritez--Varane---Shaw

Mount---Cas---Bat---Mainoo--Rash

Bruno--
--Hoijland

That team should be able to keep the ball and the midfield should be enough to protect the back 3. Off the ball it can switch to a back 4 with Amrabat dropping in.

Bruno gets to play somewhere he's actually effective. Hoijland gets the support he needs.

Rashford and mount aren't ideal but the other options are even worse.

It would be too much for the majority of the dross in this league. We're not going to win a title any time soon but it's good enough for a top 4 finish.

2 weeks ago maguire and The Scottish Player were toxic players ruining team morale.
Last week it’s was “fair play to them for being professional”
Now they are trying to get the manager sacked.

Yep Bruno and rashford as well, the players who play every game are trying to sack the manager that indulges them…..

Is the memo to back ETH regardless

You're talking far too much sense there pal. It's much easier for this lot to just toss it off on the pitch and then gossip to the press like a bunch of £#%&!ing schoolkids.
