Quote:
On the evening of 18 July 2013 at around, yes, eight o’clock, the correspondents covering Manchester United for the daily newspapers have assembled for dinner with David Moyes, the tour ‘sit-down’ as it is known. Yet this nearly doesn’t happen. Today is a Thursday.
will read again...

Why the £#%&! would anyone buy a book about Moyes and United?

It's what people want to forget and I had until this post emerged.

On the morning of 11 August 2015 at around, yes, twelve o'clock, the poster known as Cream has opened a thread on David Moyes, the late breakfast 'lie down' as it is known. Yet this really shouldn't have happened. Today is a Tuesday. Light rain.

It is a quasi-kind of place. No one really has fun in here. They only think they do. All the fun is happening elsewhere. The place has soft lights and soft sounds and seems always to have been at this point now, approaching 8pm, the evening about to move from quietude to a rising murmur in anticipation of something that never arrives. It’s what this – all these – places are about.

To be fair the Moyes era is an excellent subject for a book, unfortunately that illiterate mongoloid Jackson isn't really the guy to write it.

Pretty sure this is fiction. In the style of Fatherland. I certainly don't remember David Moyes being the manager of Manchester United. Preposterous idea.
