Don't watch that much football anymore but I did catch the England match the other night and was staggered by how staggeringly shite Johnson was. I could play better using my bum.

i really can't be bothered with watching england anymore, the whole thing is sordid and shameful.

same old nonsense for me, we'll (probably) walk through qualifying as player for player we're better than the opposition and due to our ranking / seeding. when we qualify for the tournament all the normal sun-reading simpletons' expectations will rocket through the roof before we flop abysmally among mutual recrimination. rooney will underperform, lampard will be fat and the centre of our defence will be torn to shreds - again. same old players letting you all down in the same way. very tiresome.

the whole way we approach the national football team in this country needs to be rebuilt from scratch.

playing and watching england should be about excitement, entertainment and enjoyment. all out sexy, attacking football full of verve and flair - a celebration of the beautiful game unabashed and without fear. but unfortuantely, it's the exact opposite.
