We were supposed to be getting them both at one stage

Yeah, on the treble dvd there is an interview with him saying he'd only sign for Arsenal.

They gave him a two-year contract worth £10m at the age of 36. He was playing in Greece before that.

In the departure lounge for an Alitalia flight this morning. Barca fans were loving it. Someone mentioned about Shearer being a £#%&!er and he started laughing. He looked like he'd been on the piss with his mates.

I had Patrick Vieira on the Heathrow -> Milan flight as well. He got a few choruses of "he gave giggs the ball" but took it well.

Vieira's actually a very decent person, I have a lot of time for him.

noureddine naybet. agreed terms with him only to find out he was ineligible for a work permit and had dodgy knees. the story has a happy ending though: we bought silvestre instead.

His relatively low profile is because he killed someone with his car. Not going to get much media or punditry work with that on your C.V.
