Ideologues running things never seems to work because they won't compromise. The place has always been more obsessed with being a virtue-signalling political movement rather than a football club, more obsessed with sticking 2 fingers up at the establishment and patting themselves on the back for not being manchester united.

That's honestly really wide of the mark...

They've been skanked by a regime that tried to oust any objection to being 'sound' again..

To me it just looks like the reality is that running a financially stable football club above a certain level requires getting into bed with the suits to a certain extent, which presumably they've been reluctant to do, and are now panicking at the position it's left them in as a result.

I know £#%&! all about it though tbf

That's really not what is was like at first though. It was just a laugh. Everyone was in a good mood. As bent as it sounds the main reason I kept going was the chants were really funny. I think the rot set in when some goons started a song about Andy Walsh to the tune of the Frog Chorus.

It's exactly that. People can put whatever slant on it but how certain people are turning up at games without being attacked is beyond me with the amount of people's money that is now at risk.

Feels like that to me albeit you kind of have to take the word of those closest to the club. But that kind of statement describes the normal financial position of probably all but the top flight clubs. Bury is contantly £#%&!ed financially for example. The only obvious potential mis-management bit is to have that level of support and it still be as financially stretched.

I've never seen anything like that.

It goes without saying that all the financial, political stuff is a gigantic turn-off to people who just want to have a drink and get out of the house with their mates on a Saturday.
What this man said.

Think we did. I used to go with Hong Kong Pete and I'm positive I remember one Sat post-game in one of the pubs near Gigg we were in company with a bearded lad who was about to go away with the army. Did your mrs come sometimes...? Thrillspills etc was there, I know his face.

To me it always seem the business of the actual football was about 4th on the list of importance for the place. Nobody ever talks about the £#%&!ing shit on a stick football it's all about "oooh look at us singing and standing up....oooh everyone was having a laugh with their mates for thruppence......look at how many of us there are, acknowledge us, give us internet fan-cred...oooh flares.....you couldn't do this at THE GLAZERDOME, no way, not like us cool socialists here"

No sympathy at all. Now get on the £#%&!ing phone to wonga.com. (no you obviously)

It's literally millionso pounds of people's savings that were sold as safe in the community shares. I'd be massively surprised if people ever see a penny back

Shocking stuff. The amount of money they've had coming in every other week, along with some huge cup money, unbelievable how they've got into this mess.

its almost like the club and some (most?) supporters are happy with mediocrity as long as they can stick with the notion that they're rebellious and against the establishment.
