Never seen a better player in the flesh, in all my life, but still it was all a bit 'me, me, me' with him in the end. Of course he had the skills to justify it, but I like my United teams to play for each other and not themselves.

He winked at me, once, as well btw

Always knew he would become the best player in the world, but didn't know he'd fill out quite like he did physically.

Which was obviously a massive help.

There was a fair bit of whingeing circa 2004/05 along the lines of "we got rid of Beckham and brought in this 'no end product' merchant" - some people never learn, do they??

The only football prediction I ever got right From his cameo appearance against Bolton, I was absolutely convinced he'd become the best player on the plant. Between 2007-2009, I'd argue he was. Phenomenal player, if I could have any player in the world at United, I'd pick him every time

Most talented United player I've ever seen.

In 2007/08 he was just unplayable.

He left us too soon, and I'd take him back in a heart-beat, but I don't think we've actually missed him that much.

Also i'd like to argue he was better in 2006/2007 than 2007/2008. More of a complete player in that season did it all.

Quaresma, Simao, Reyes All were better according to those @#%&!s on the Sanc and the writers of that £#%&!ing rag RI. Clueless bastards the lot of them.

You'll be able to spot the same £#%&!ers on this thread, when they pop up to find reasons to 'hate' Ronaldo
