Gourcuff of Bordeaux to be our midfield maestro or Marek Hamsik of napoli to be our equivalent to lampard. Midfield and strike force need a complete rebuild but the transfer market is completely unrealistic thanks to the likes of City and Chelsea.

Thankfully i be travelling round oz when all the rumours start so i wont have to read about how we're going to sign every striker who's scored more then 15 goals this season for there club.

I reckon we need to sign:

Alonso
Kaka
Ronaldo

about 200 million ought to cover it

If money were no object, I'd buy a nuclear warhead and nuke Norway, just to be sure I'd get you.

I've not been on for a few days so I don't know (though I can imagine) the 'ins and outs' threads.

Anyway, with Smalling and it looking like Vidic is staying, I'd be happy with:

Either Gourcuff or Hamsik
Agbonlahor
Rodwell

That's it.

Is that a trick question?

(I see the paradox though - If Ronnie comes back, Rooney gets shunted to the left etc)

I used to care about how much we spent on players.

Now I almost hope we don't buy any
