Default Lampard out for another 3 weeks

Plus Essien banned for 3 games = tough games ahead for Chelski, what with Didier being off form due to malaria.

Lampards new injury breaking news on BBC sport.

There has been a bit of speculation, not least on here, that he isn't really "injured" at all........

Yeah I heard that from a few different places, there was quite a lot about it on twitter. You talking about the Bleakley rumour?

Birmingham away they certainly won't, Birmingham are usually very good at home.

Fair point, although up until recently didn't they have quite an envious home record?

It might have escaped some people, but Chelski have been none too convincing recently. The multi-goal rampages at the end of last season and the start of this one are long gone.

I'm not saying they *will* drop points in their next few games - but it is certainly not out of the question

They're a good side at home. Can't go purely on results this season when Liverpool beat chelsea but lost to blackpool. Just saying Chelsea with an unfit drogba, no Essien and no lampard will struggle against brum at home.
