Says that Bayern would be happy to push United out of the picture, because we have pissed them off with the Hargreaves thing, and we sold Ruud to Madrid when they wanted him.

Yes but they can say all they want, fact is there's nowt to suggest that Chelsea want Hargreaves and a lot to suggest they don't.

[SIZE="7"]if, and it's a big if, bayern have put this rumour about then it would suggest that they are ready to sell and want to push the price up.

Lot of talk from them about how they'll spash out bigtime for players if needs be - money no object.

Seems to be a lot of pride at stake.

I hate the phoney war of the transfer window. We should just fax a time-limited bid of 20million to them.

Maybe a subtle mention of the war will make them more reasonable.

I don't even rate him that much tbh - 15 maybe.

Maybe glazer is hoping they accept vcash

There's no way Hargreaves would go to Chelsea.

There's no doubt about that.

from whatever pittance the glazers have confidentially offered so it looks like they're investing in the team.

we'll end up with petit, which wouldn't be a complete disaster if it weren't for the fact that martin is in charge of our scouting and will probably sign us the geriatric ponytailed blond one.

That is a disgusting fee. If United pay anywhere near that they are £#%&!ing idiots. He's worth about a third of that.

If we're going to spend 25m on one player - it should be someone like Torres, who is special enough to take such a big risk on.

Our scouts really should be able to find someone as good as Hargreaves for a fraction of that price.

Maybe they think there isn't anyone as good as him worth blowing £10m on to take a chance.

Maybe they're totally convinced OH is gonna slot straight into life at United and the system.

Add that to his Bayern up-bringing and his versatility and bingo £15m looks good value.

Then add on United tax and away you go.

they had Hargreaves than Robben.

With wide men Chelsea are a far more dangerous team, and injury-prone he might be, but Robben can be devastating. Without him/Cole and SWP, the narrow Chelsea midfield is far more beatable.

hargreaves instead of Makelele? that's a step back. Makelele is the best at what he does, their big problem in general is that they have too many players who do the same thing - Essien, Fatty, Ballack, Makalele etc. - the games they saved late on were usually after bringing on Robben to change the game (including the game at Old Trafford where they transformed at half time)

Essien, SWP, Kezman, Duff, Ballack, Robben, Parker and Obi Mikel only bought so other clubs couldn't buy them

Cole bought from another club to hurt that club

Gerrard nearly bought for the same reason

They tried to buy Walcott, Diaby, Simao and Hleb just to stop other clubs getting them

what a bunch of tarts
