Nah that’s ott. Loads of players don’t love training and need to be managed skilfully.

Aguero is a known poor trainer. With him I think you just leave him alone and wait for Saturday, hoping nobody follows his lead. Most say Shaw needs babying. Either way it’s about getting the reaction, which is why a manager is there.

LvG would not tolerate someone with a shit attitude. Neither would Poch. Discipline is another thing.

do you think its acceptable for 3 managers in a row to have to try and get the best out of a professional in terms of fitness and attitude?

Attitude/discipline- there's a fine line. He's a soft bastard who's needed these constant reminders to keep fit/sort his head out from every manager he's had. Penny still hasn't dropped tho', sadly.

That is their job. Some players are just different. LvG said Shaw reacted brilliantly. It’s about management and meeting the player halfway. He and Poch managed that; Mourinho has decided the best way to manage him is to criticise him at every chance.

He’s obviously not got the reaction he wanted. So just move the player on.

£#%&! me. Not like you to praise LvG and have a go at Mourinho, pal?

If you don't think the blame for this lies solely with Luke Shaw, then you're wrong.

Jason Dodd at Southampton made the point that Pochettino puts his players through intense training. He also requires players to give their absolute best. And he loved Shaw. So did LvG. And Mourinho has kept him here for two years.

Suggests it’s not as simple as him being a fat arse who can’t be bothered to train properly.
So 3 different club managers and an international manager have had to publicly call him out as a lazy fat @#%&! and it's something other than him being a lazy fat @#%&!?

And Pochettino requires his players to give their absolute best according to Doddy eh? Groundbreaking stuff.

Again, the previous managers managed him. A player who needs extra attention or a different approach and proved successful when it was given. I’d have less suspicion about Mou’s approach with Shaw if it didn’t come across as almost perversely ineffective from moment one.

People seem to be complaining that a manager has to manage players.

Of course Mou is the manager who declared De Bruyne too poor a trainer to warrant faith
Which great performances did LVG get out of Shaw?

None at all pal. None of us were excited about him before the leg break. There’s nothing Mourinho could possibly have done with such an average talent.

Same with Rashford, who isn’t actually as good as we thought.

110 career games. 0 goals. 3 assists. Poch and LVG must have got some incredible performances out if him.

He got 15 starts under LVG in 14/15.

Yeah pal. He became a £30m signing for United and seen as a potential world class player based on being a fat lad and not playing well.

So he’s had on average 8 starts a season and has been picking up a 100 grand a week for the hard graft, 25 million in wages he had been paid, the least he can do is act like a professional footballer..
