Tbf lukaku did better for city in that game than Aguero ever could of

MEN editorial is suggesting that we need to make signings for appearances sakes and that not doing so would reflect damningly on the Glazers and Ed Woodward.

Citeh are being praised by the MEN for being prepared to reinforce two key areas following injuries.

Quote:
Vincent Kompany and Gabriel Jesus's injuries have convinced Guardiola he needs to move for Evans and Sanchez and, as Mourinho explained less than a fortnight ago, United are not able to operate as similarly.

The TV deals need to collapse spectacularly and they'll take City with them.

Their forwards have been wildly effective thus far and Alexis is a sly little slapped arse @#%&!. Would be a totally City thing to do if signing him derailed the season and had players seeing their Arse at his immediate inclusion.

The TV deals aren't going to collapse ffs. They're only going to get bigger - especially with Facebook and Amazon taking an interest.

Yep. Sky are going to have to pay over the odds again to ensure they get the majority of matches. They’d be £#%&!ed if they lost more matches to BT etc.

Also, the foreign tv deals are only going to get bigger.

Imagine the abuse that city supporting kids in Manchester would have to put up with if we swooped and bought Sanchez instead of City though?

The PL's Golden Goose is at risk, even with new generation of fans/viewers. One of the reasons TV income for PL matches from around the world is high is because of the competition at the top!
With six or seven likely contenders for the PL title involved, all their respective games are 'must see's', not just against each other, but the likely 'banana skin' ones as well.
However when there is only one team, or two at the most 'cake-walking' the Premier league every season, the interest will wane and income fall, supply and demand!

The next deal will be ridiculous.
Amazon are going to be all over the next round of bidding forcing the price through the roof.
We are a long long way off the bubble bursting

The Tender for the next deal was release recently it's changing

Quote:
In the 2019 season, there will be eight games shown live at 7.45pm on a Saturday night for the first time, going up against prime time entertainment television for audience share. The existing rights are split between Sky Sports and BT Sport and cost £5.18bn but with lucrative Saturday evening games and 20 bank holiday matches that already gargantuan figure will surely increase.

The 200 games have been organised into seven packages for broadcasters to
be bid for, organised from A to G.

Packages A and B each contain 32 matches at Saturday 12.30pm and 5.30pm,
respectively; C contains 24 games at Sunday 2pm and eight at Saturday
7.45pm; D contains 32 matches at Sunday 4.30pm; and E contains 24 matches
at Monday 8pm or Friday 7.30pm-8pm and eight at Sunday 2pm.

Package F contains all 20 games from one Bank Holiday and one midweek
programme, with Package G containing all 20 from two midweek programmes.
At its quarterly shareholders’ meeting the league agreed to make at least
half of their games available following an investigation by Ofcom into how
it sells its television rights. But at a Premier League supporters meeting
in October the organisations chief executive Richard Scudamore ruled out
Sunday morning matches
Going to cost a lot more which may put pressure on Sky and BT - can't see how either of them can sustain it. If it all diversifies into different broadcasters people may bail out rather than have lots of different packages.
