All football is cyclical (unless it's Scotland), the Moyes season set the club on a downward trajectory from being champions. I always felt any new manager had to win the league in the first few post Ferguson years so we retained the belief. Citeh's financial muscle has not helped matters and it has taken the Scousers 30 years to put together a team that can win the league which ironically coincides with our downturn.

Mou actually deserves kudos for that 2nd place finish prior to his breakdown.

A LOT of bad planning and decision making has brought us to this point, but who the £#%&! knows how this season will go? Could turn out to be alright.
