£#%&!ing hell

German newspaper Die Zeit now claims that the country's government sent Saudi Arabia a shipment of arms to persuade them to support 2006 World Cup bid. The then Chancellor Gerhard Schroder allegedly authorised shipment of rocket-propelled grenades a week before the vote back in the year 2000.

The arms thing is an eye-opener, but no reason why fifa bribes should be different to usual trade and diplomatic bribes really given how much these giant sporting events are worth...

What the FAI did was the equivalent of preempting your girlfriend calling the house by giving your Mrs the watered down version.

Must be dozens of associations all debating the same thing right now.

No, the bloke on the far right has. Delaney was the guest of honor at the swearing in ceremony.

Look at them there. A great bunch of lads.

*just had a look on wiki....

Portlaoise is known for having one of the highest percentages of Black lads in the country. The mayor, Rotimi Adebari was the first black lad to become mayor in Ireland.
