Prince Ali abwaabwa as you so charmingly put has the major western nations behind him. Which probably means he will £#%&! over the football associations that need the most support(poor countries in Africa and Asia).
Yep. As bent as FIFA clearly are, it's the arrogance and insularity of the Europeans that facilitates these 'tin pot' countries sticking together to make sure that Europe doesn't take control of the game on the world stage. People have long memories. It was English spite and disregard for inclusiveness and development of the world game that cost them the Fifa presidency in the first place.

Didn't the fa's of all the home nations initially tell all the other european countries to £#%&! off and so they went and formed fifa anyway?

These shenanigans have made me find a new respect for blatman. He is £#%&!ing untouchable, everyone speaking out against him yet wins another term. Teflon don.

it is genuinely impressive how blatter et al. have managed to run a global sporting institution on a third world business model for many years. of course there have been some egregious abuses of power but it's probably no more galling than the standard western capitalist schema and the world of 'gentlemen's handshakes' that #@&%!s like greg dyke are getting so precious about.

no wonder american imperialist dogma has reared its head. once blatter's gone, whether it's sooner or later, FIFA will turn into an all-out corporate @#%&!opoly with all manner of prime #@&%!s filling their pockets. the whole enterprise will make the likes of NFL, golden boy etc look like village fetes.

Sorry mate, but that's absolute tripe. The Americans have done what no one else was either able or willing to do. Hate them all you like, but let's stick to the now and the known rather than some dark imagined future where they will once again be deserving of your bile. This is not £#%&!ing minority report.

it is bizarre that blatter is still getting away with heading the whole fifa money laundering operation

but at the same time he does have a point doesn't he? these charges are timed to coincide with the election just as the last time this all blew up coincided with the election in 2011. and England did lose out to russia, the yanks did lose out to qatar, the nth american federation thingy still voted for blatter, and the yanks did support blather's main rival. and as for the sponsors 'expressing concern'? do me a £#%&!ing favour, they're the main culprits because they bankroll it ffs
