Default mid table players = mid table performances

folks have invested so much emotionally in LVG that they revel in young being picked ahead of di maria even though he has been shit for the most part.

Mid table players will always result in mid table performances sooner or later. Young, fellaini, smalling, mc nair, valencia.

They may put in a good performance one in a while like against city but so do the likes of the players that play for burnley, leicester, sunderland etc

we should be building the team around the likes of di maria, mata

Di maria would struggle to get into a mid table team right now tbh.

'right now'

we should have built the team around him from start, given him the confidence to do it.

Its very easy to say he should improve the performances when there were so many around him shit @#%&!ing it. Its not easy to suddenly adjust from playing balls to ronaldo, bale, benzema to out of sorts rooney, rvp, falcao.

I've been hoping he'll come good next season, but if LvG decides he hasn't got the stomach for a fight then £#%&! the rat-faced #@&%!.
as much our problem as it has been his.

Di Maria has been £#%&!ing shit for us. There's no reason he should start. He started off well at the start of the season because of the new club 'buzz'. Once that died down his heads not been with it and looks like he doesn't want to be here.

This. Do you think he isn't being picked because LvG is self sabotaging ffs? he's not doing his job when he does get on, so he isn't playing from the start. You'd have to think he's not liking what he's seeing in training either. He's just going through the same thing Herrera, Mata, Rooney etc. have gone through, he's just a bit slower on the uptake it would seem

I did say that Di Maria has been mis managed ever since he came here. If you sign a player for that amount you need to start him. No matter what for next 2 years.

He's been crap since the Leicester game.

He's been shite, pal. Accept it. Guys like Mata, Herrera have battled tough situations to play their way into the side and make an impact. Painfully average @#%&!s like Fellaini & Young have earned some respect with their performances. Smalling has improved post-City.

Di Maria has played like a @#%&!.

"That is because of undrobable force called Wayne Rooney"

Earned some respect? young should have been taken off instead of Mata. Starting to think if lvg just likes players being robots

have to agree, of all the players Di Maria has been horribly disappointing

how much of it is due to his off-field issues (the attempted break-in) or that he's come up short in Prem, the point remains, he's been utterly shite for us

Yes, earned some respect. They are average players trying their best to make the most out of what they have.

Di Maria isn't up for the fight atm. I hope it changes, but he needs to grow a pair. Outside the first 6 weeks he's had a shocking season.
