If its a permanent one, that is certainly one good argument for it.

If it's anything like his transfer dealings it'll be drawn out with very little to show for it.

Zero transfer fee.

100 milo a year. Top 4 guaranteed, sponsorship penalties avoided. Half covered by shifting Alexis.

Pays for himself.

Would you green light a move for 32 yr old Messi, bearing in mind the Sanchez experience, and our cash poor status?

All in all, he pockets a cool 100 million a year.

There's only one club in england who could afford to pay that kind of ludicrous money (and they probably already are paying their players something in that region)

In a heartbeat. He’ll still be the best player on the pitch in 5 years. Worth every penny.

Will never happen.

Juve to pull off the greatest freebie ever? Fiat would bankroll the wages.

Obviously it won't happen as Barca will just lynch Abidal instead, still Ronnie and Messi up front in the same team!

Finances wouldn't be an issue, he'd end up covering his own fees with the commercial side. Lingard can't even sell £#%&!ing clothes.

Waste of time even trying to go for him

I think there’s a chance he could leave Barca at the end of the season as he must be sick and tired of having to carry them on his own since Neymar left
However he’ll only leave for a ready made team who are already one of the best sides in Europe

They’ve spent loads over the last few years and on whole they’ve bought terribly
It’s a shell of the great Barca sides of the past propped up by Messi’s genius

They will get nowhere near winning the CL in the coming years which must be dispiriting for someone like Messi

They’ve dropped over 200 million on Coutinho and Dembele and people say we waste money
