Football FA Cup Final

Couldn't really write the script could you.

We're the only thing in the way of them doing the Treble.

Obviously on form they should hammer us.

Is there any chance we spring a surprise? Does ETH have a plan?

Yes, there is a chance.

Yes, there will be a plan.

Is it before the CL final?

Please say yes.

We’re clear underdogs. We know it and the whole world knows it. Maybe that will help us. Play well, bit of luck and we can beat them. Worse United teams have beaten city in recent seasons and we’ve beaten them this season.

Get top four done first.

what could be more glorious than tucking away another trophy for us at the expense of city's treble?

how can we not be looking forward with hope, excitement and belief?

In recent seasons, most games like this have been a ‘would you rather’ between them and Liverpool or hoping someone like Southampton pulls off a miracle. I much prefer it being us.

If we can avoid gifting them goals, then we have an outside chance. If we try to have dave pass out from the back it could be horrific.

Please, please, please ETH learn a £#%&!ing lesson from watching Madrid turn up with Modric playing as a free-role attacking midfielder get his side torn to shreds and play a proper £#%&!ing midfield for this one.

Rashers central, Antony + Garnacho/Bruno either side. Shaw left back not central. Got to be able to press these high up the pitch and spring a counter. Can't leave Cas as the lone midfielder. Can't play Eriksen + Bruno in the 3 together.

Probably the fact that every decent team we’ve played this season has stuffed us?

Given Sabitzer is out for the season, a ‘proper midfield’ is going to have to consist of one of McFred.

We need to be realistic of where we are in relation to City.

If we go toe to toe and try and play football we will in all likelihood get absolutely mullered. If I was ETH I'd be packing the midfield and going for a smash and grab.

That's fine. At least a player who can functionally cover the ground in that position. Turn up with any player who cannot turn in a shift & run and run for 90 minutes and City will crucify you. That means no Eriksen in the midfield. Got to get legs around Casemiro and legs on the break.

Not a chance Eriksen doesn’t start if he’s fit. As well he should. Agree we will need another midfielder in there. Bruno?

You don't play football with them but you do need to be able to press and break on them. That's how Spurs + Liverpool have had good success against them over the years .. even technically average but physically strong sides like the Palace + Lyon teams that have done them.

Do a Burnley style sit back and invite pressure and they'll kill you. Turn up with some luxury players who can't run anymore and they'll pass rings around you.

Not a chance we get anything from them with Eriksen as 1 of the 3 in midfield. Not a chance. That's got the makings of an absolute mauling.

You may be right, but he’ll 100% start.

It will be the same line up as last time we played them and won.

The only change he might do is put lindelof in rather than malacia
