Football Manchester United v Middlesbrough: Official Match Thread : 4/2/22 8pm

The 4th round of the FA Cup kicks off tonight with a fascinating clash. An under pressure United, in the news for all the wrong reasons, will look to continue their modest upturn in form in a competition that represents their only realistic proposition of silverware. Middlesbrough, well, who cares about them tbh. I think they are in the Championship these days.

No replays of course so it will be extra time and penalties if required.

Where to watch: ITV, also streaming on ITV Hub

United Team News:
Paul Pogba has decided to grace us with his presence and may go straight back into the starting XI as we are desperate. Not available are:
  • Jesse Lingard (having a paddy)
  • Edinson Cavani (flexible time off)
  • Victor Lindelof (ill)
  • Eric Bailly (injured)
  • Mason Greenwood (club suspension)

£#%&! knows what the mood around the club will be like. Could be terrible gloom and doom or a cloud may have lifted...who knows.

Let's hope we show some fighting spirit and attitude and attack like fiends.

We were actually good last game weren't we?

Can't remember it though.

I TWICI'd Pogba being really good for the rest of the season. Hope he appreciates me putting my neck out for him like this.

Jesse Lingard has mental health issues according to our Manager, can we please show him some respect? #ItsOkNotToBeOk #TimeToTalk #WhenTheBeansRunOut

They 'support their local team', there will be probably be more in their support than anytime since we last played them.

I’m not sure, Villa didn’t seem to bring any extra than they would for a normal league game

I’m really not sure what to think of United any more. I’ll watch the game but can’t get enthused about it to be honest.

See you in Morgans about 6 then have you ordered salted or dry roasted for your starter?

I'm not fancying us tonight at all, the draw in 90' is looking very tempting.
