I think the topsy-turvy nature of this league may even be affecting the board's decision-making process

Spurs are the real problem now.
It's quite bizarre. Reds are still talking as though top four is a shoe-in. It's as though through all this shit they haven't looked at the table for weeks.

We are now in a clump of so called smaller teams, all of whom are in better form than us. It's not dramatic to suggest that one or two more dodgy results and we could be ninth. Yet we still talk about being top in November and optimistic because we showed a little spark at home to the team in 16th.

Scouse go above us if they win too now. Doesnt get more embarrassing than that. Perhaps the wake up call certain folk need. But we're still team lvg , hope he stays!

He's not exactly known for getting the job done on a budget, and i don't like the sort of players he brings in, even if they do do a job.
I also think on reflection he's the sort of @#%&! united don't need and we're going to be back to square one when he pisses someone off or spits the dummy like he seems to do and walks.

United grew with Fergie - a good friend of mine was a medic at OT and died this year. He spoke at her funeral and spoke about how he and his team built up the United we see today... it's clear that once he went any manager was going to be a square peg in a Fergie-shaped hole.... his power and influence ran deep. I think it will take time for anyone to turn this around and to, pardon the expression rid the club of Fergie...

I think LvG came to OT at the wrong time - too old, and the club was/is still adjusting after life after Fergie then the Moyes debacle.

I just hope united don't panic and make the wrong appointment and prolong this merry go round and rollercoaster.
Agreed. Not sure about Mourinho being the wrong choice. We need someone who is strong enough to survive this aftermath and still impose his will.

is there not a chance that he will buy in players, do things his way, do one and then we go back to the start again?

Yep. That's where we will end up if that carries on for another few weeks.

Weeks ago we were scratching our heads as how we were top or even 2 or 3 points behind. Lamenting a couple of draws, but also acknowledging we can win the league if we showed some real form.

It seems the attitude is exactly the same now even though the gaps are significantly bigger. We're nine behind arsenal. Eight behind Leicester having played a game more. Palace and Spurs have overtaken us. Watford are right up our arse....Watford! Matter of time time Liverpool overtake us too.

We haven't won in eight games. We're in no position to start eulogising about where we'll end up if we improve. Let's just £#%&!ing improve first!

Obviously if we carry on not winning games we are going to plummet down the table, but what if we *do* put a run together?

Play like we did tonight and get some blasted luck for once, and we should beat Swansea. And then......

You can sort of see why the club are reluctant to pull the plug on LvG *just* yet

We weren't unlucky tonight. Some stuff went against us, others for us.

On balance we were, that gilt edged chance Chelski had notwithstanding. Nobody could have complained had we won that.

No, they wouldn't. But that doesn't mean we were unlucky. Hitting the woodwork isn't luck, it's missing the target. It's no less lucky than matic wasting that chance.

We should have had a penalty, but Rooney also should have been sent off.

We should have scored and should have won, but we weren't unlucky..

Atkinson had a £#%&!ing stinker though.

Yeah because we've really been unlucky this season.

The first two games, 6 points, two own goals.

The second wasn't an own goal. It was deflection, but Januzaj's goal.

It was going towards the corner flag.

You get my point, you create your own luck, as we don't create we have no luck.

No it wasn't. It wasn't even going in that direction. It was heading near post (probably would have been saved) but deflected into the far corner. Clearly hitting the target and therefore his goal. If it was hitting the corner flag, it would have been awarded an own goal. And it wasn't.

I do get your point, but you really don't need to make up stars to back up or your argument. We're shit enough without that

So stick with LVG because the current alternatives don't suit for political reasons. £#%&! it if he makes a balls of it Woodward & co deserve whatever financial hit and embarrassment they have to suffer.

It's a mess. One thing's for sure the club aren't first in all this.

The Mourinho stuff has been said elsewhere, they really going to make him beg for the job (again). Don't rule him out just yet though.

As for the 92 lads, isn't Giggs getting the job anyway (or so were told, the manager himself) when the Dutch fraud £#%&!s off to Portugal to wind up Koeman?

Thanks to Ed's little stunt, United are now 5 points behind 4th place. You show em Ed.

What the £#%&! is he doing in Coventry while we're playing a vital match at OT

Him and the overall structure at Utd is our biggest issue by far
