Lovely strike that tbf. Again though, he'll be able to hit a ball like that at 50.

I thought he was poor against Costa Rica too. Slightly better than the semi though.

Too many games in a short space of time for his little legs maybe.

Was on the ball a lot against Costa Rica, which was good to see. Created some chances, had that effort off the bar, was a bit more like the old Sneijder. I don't think it's an issue of too many games. He's always been an inconsistent player for someone of such great quality. Even that peak season with Inter he'd had a dodgy first half of the campaign. No real surprised that his career tailed off in his late 20s.

Shame, though. Massive talent.

Agreed mate. Like you say, massive talent.

"Lovely" footballer. Plays the game the right way plus worldy technique. It's a yes from me.

Yeah. Was desperate for United to get him and VdV from Ajax when they were 18/19. Came for a tour of the ground and training ground IIRC.

Both stayed at Ajax too long IMO and went to the wrong clubs when they left.
