If we cannot get our main targets (De Jong, Sesko etc), what to do?

Over pay for players . The United way. Ideally they’re older , don’t fit into the style of the manager and ask for wages way beyond they would receive anywhere else.

Likes of aubameyang, immobile , reus, , trippier etc

We already have players who aren’t good enough. No point adding to the number.

I get much more joy seeing players leave than I do see them arrive, we should write-off this season and start again next summer when hopefully another 5-7 have left.

Remember the rumours of a £20m budget preseason..? Maybe that was much, much closer to the truth than we realised, and actually meant for year 1 payments. £4m for Malacia and £16m for Lisandro. Then we brought some monies in for Pereira so might be able to stretch to a Rabiot in the last year of his deal at £3m initial outlay and and Artaunovic at £2m.

Of course IF they could get FDJ they were prepared to find a few extra quid, but if not, same as Sancho in the summer we failed, the budget disappears..
