A top 3 centre-forward in the world alongside Batistuta and Ronaldo from 1995-1998.
Might have won The European Cup in 1997 (Dortmund games still piss me off) if we had him...
Cole came good and we eventually won it in 1999 anyway
So in the end glad we didn't bring in the boring bastard

Shearer is always pegged as one of the top 'ones that got away' , but if we'd have got in him 92, there'd be no Eric. If we got him in 1997, there'd be no Sheringham or Yorke. And I wouldn't swap those players' contributions for anyone.

They could do a nice full size one in his home town made from the frozen tears of bitterness of all the ABUs.
