That was clearly tactical instructions laid out by Mourinho. Keep your shape, don't press high, and let them have the ball in their own half. It was a mistake from Jose, and he rectified it at half time.

I think other managers watching that second half today will see that if you press this City back-line well, they aren't good enough on the ball to not give you chances.

Bravo is a liability coming for high balls, too. They will leak goals and drop plenty of points this season IMO. This title race is not as clear-cut as the sycophantic Sky love-in is making out. The state of Neville today.

Spot on. Some of that trademark Barcelona type play acting thrown in as well from Otamendi.

Mkhitaryan will be massive for us.

Surprising to see sweeping judgments even after that very impressive turnaround in the 2nd half. Look at how much space and possesion we gifted to city, how many times was de gea worked? Compare that to some of the past derbies we've lost...

Very confident we'll compete for the title until the last day and confident Mkhi will eventually be undroppable once he settles in and gets full fitness again.

Eric and Blind deal with a straightforward long ball and it doesn't get a mention?

Wrong to give two first starts like that though

blind can take a step back if bailly challenges the long ball, but really you can't let a fast player like de bruyne run off you onto the last man with a flick-on in the offing there...

Hasn't played him this season then puts in the biggest match and plays him out of position. Jose's fault.

Having calmed a lot since Saturday () it's clear he's one of the most talented players in our squad but he was awful on Saturday. In fairness can imagine it was hard coming into a game like that after only playing bits of games so far this season. Should be starting every week. We lack imagination without him.

He took a knock in international football, there was talk of him not being fit...,.

He's a very good player as he's shown already this season in short game time...

I'd like to see him start in Rotterdam.

Yeah saw all that but no way Mourinho would have started him if he wasn't fit. He had trained in the week.

Tbf, Rooney was just as bad in that first half.

Roll on the next game.

Gets manic on here on the down days.

Panic threads about our new signings after four games

I blame Di Maria.

The thread is about Miki. Stop the goal at the source.

I am not slating the lad, however he had a very poor 45 minutes. I am not convinced he was 100% and am happy to leave it that.

Welcome to the premier league Miki, you need more about you when you don't have the ball. Hopefully he will learn fast.

Looked to big for him on Saturday. Let's hope he isn't another Kagawa.
