What do we need to do?

what are we missing player wise?

In the cold light of day, it seemed that we were short of a couple of players, its a lack of depth and a reliance on (legend) oldies.

Berbs quality as he is, is not suited to us or vice versa.


I do believe Fergie has money to spend but who? would he play Rooney and Villa up front? A villa type will not come to sit on the bench, Midfield who will he buy?

Oh and 11 men on the pitch

no we are not right at the moment - it doesnt feel balanced

Top drawer midfielder that allows us to play 2 in the middle and 2 upfront.

To get rid of:

Foster
Carrick
Anderson
Tosic
Berbatov

And decisions made on Owen and Hargreaves.

Replace them with players that can play football.

You can’t put Carrick in that list mate single handed he has carried us to the team we are today.

His great distribution of the ball, his fight and desire to both defend and attack and his composure when he is training must be something else, if only he could do the same when playing in a competitive game.

Foster - shame, but fergie obviously doesn't rate him. (£5m)
Scholes, Giggs, Nev, - all past it.
Berbatov - although i think he's a good player, it's been obvious since day 1, he doesn't suit our style. (£10m)
Carrick - been a good signing but with Gibson almost at his level, we should cash in. (£8m)
Hargreaves - wtf is going on with him? who'd buy him anyway?
Anderson - another player i like but wouldn't be bothered anymore if sold. (£10m)

Rodwell - everything that we are lacking in midfield. (£20m)
Benzema - top player, wasted at Madrid. (loan )

It's amazing we're still in with a shout for the title. Most other years someone would have walked it by now, the Chelsea of a few years ago would have. We'd be no where near it.
