Disagree with that SSG. Running about chasing the ball is far more physically exerting than knocking it about for 90 minutes. Those that played will probably be cream crackered.

Not sure, tempo wasn't very high and even our chasing around was done at a somewhat slower pace than it would have been against someone like Arsenal. Who move the ball about much quicker.

Barca passed the ball sideways an awful lot and we stood off forming two banks to allow them to do just that. Don't think a lot of physical energy was spent. It was a tough game yes, mentally more than physically IMO.

Not looking forward to Saturday's game at all. I like the tension of this part of the season but I felt physically sick watching the Blackburn and Barca games. Especially last night. I'd be afraid as well as been bolloxed, they will have a knock in confidence, attacking wise.
The midfield has been shite lately.

A settled midfield of late may have helped us there. He chops and changes it every £#%&!ing game.

Default rooney will be knackered

even ronaldo will be tired with frustration.

only anderson did not have his fitness tested.

our only hope is for blue tweaks and funerals.

no doubt john terry has his "let's do it for frank's mum!" pep talk all planned out already.
