Default Man City this summer

I have to say I know next to nothing about 2 of their signings, but all 3 of them seem crazily overpriced?

Am I just not sage enough, or are they a little underwhelming for them?

Fernandinho £30 million

Jesus Navas £17 million rising to £24 million

Negredo £24 million

I'd be seriously unhappy if United had signed any of them tbh.

Navas is decent and should be a good addition to their team. They've struggled a bit with wingers and he's as good as was available.

The rest are truly uninspiring, especially considering they've sold Tevez.

They must have have a few big signings in the works, otherwise it's hard to see them winning much.

Navas gets homesick on international duty... Has disaster written all over it.

Seriously think their title win was as good as it will ever get for them. They're back 2-3 years with the calibre of player they're going in for again, the title didnt seem to raise their profile in the slightest, which is a little odd (although just as £#%&!ing well).

they all the foundations to build on too and they've royally £#%&!ed it up and it can only get better imo.

The sheiks are an impatient bunch and another season or two in the wrong direction and they'll gladly cut their losses. Imagine if city went bankrupt

Money is the way of attracting players to non-entities and they have to pay over the odds because they know citeh can afford it

Fernandinho for £30m is an awful signing, he's 28 ffs and doesn't even play regularly for the national team

Could have got Paulinho for £17m, or £20m because it's them.

Seen Shakthar a few times, never noticed him though tbh

Negredo has always seemed a bit average.

Navas is quick and direct, but he's a bit of a @#%&!.

Negredo is behind Fabregas in the Spanish centre forward stakes, that's how good he is.

They've overspent on those players massively, but I do think they strengthen them in key areas. Navas potentially adds skill and trickery to their pretty ordinary wing play. Fernandinho adds pace to their one paced midfield. I think negredo could surprise people as well though they haven't been using their strikers very well last year.

Probably a step back from balotelli and tevez though, but a revitalised dzeko/aguero and better midfield could see them do well.
