But can you name all the players who made at least one appearance under him in those title-winning campaigns?

Do you have somewhere else to be?

Or did you just get less than 50 and decided to attack the good quiz instead?

I've got a real early 90s bias and then brain goes to mush after about 2007.

I can remember Colin McKee and Chris Casper, but forget that Danny Welbeck was ever a thing.

It's crazy how bloated squads have become since the 90's.

Our 99 squad was considered big, really because we had 4 quality strikers at the same time. I remember when Milan, the best team in the world at the time, signed Papin for a record fee. They already had Van Basten. Everyone was amazed that they could field 2 quality teams if they wanted, which would've been an absurd idea before then. Now it's normal.

These big squads are one of the problems in football, IMO. Too many players on the fringes who might actually become something playing for smaller clubs.

Was Papin a one-season wonder?

Five season wonder in France. Did nothing elsewhere really.

Just reading about him. They still had the 3 foreigner rule in Italy at that time, meaning he would've had to have played instead of one of their 3 Dutch guys.

Probably the wrong decision for him to go there. Wonder what kind of partnership himself and Eric could have had for that France team.
