"Mourinho is a really good coach but that's as far as I would go really. He's the manager of Real Madrid and we expect to play them in the Champions League by the end of the season."

When it is put to him that it is difficult to imagine a United manager being allowed to get away with some of Mourinho's behaviour, Charlton says: "You are right. He pontificates too much for my liking. He's a good manager, though."

Yeah lets criticise him to the hilt so he doesnt want to come here.

God forbid he came out and said he wants to take over from fergie, we might be forced to spend some decent money on a manager then.

Its all falling into place for moyes......

"Roy Keane just had that thing. He could change the game with the timing of one tackle. I have played with a large number of good players and have played against many, but when you ask me which would I have liked to play with it's Roy Keane I miss out there."

I like the fact there are loyal, great blokes like you to put me right. How's that?

Ah, the old 'top red' pre-programmed response, right on cue.

If you really want me to "be honest", I just can't fathom for the life of me why a person who expresses such incessant antipathy towards everyone and everything associated with this club would put themselves through it. I wouldn't. Just get a hobby you enjoy instead.

Anyway, apologies for interrupting the whining, carry on.

"Every football person in this country wants to do what he will do and what he has done in the past. He is fantastic, he just loves it. On a match day the team sheet comes in and you think: 'Oh, I didn't expect that.' More often than not he has done something – or picked somebody – that you wouldn't expect. Usually it works, too."
