Did the level one about 12 years ago when my lad started playing. Its worth joining the FA coaches association too, good supply of materials and updates profiles etc and a monthly mag which is probs digital these days.

Were I a younger fred I'd deffo do it, as there are a lot of tasty summer jobs at camps all over the world.

ok, heres the question

you are 1-0 up with 30 seconds to go

their centre forward is through on goal

does your defender

a) chase after him and boot him in the ankle, thereby winning the game ?

b) go by the coaching manual, play fair, risk the opponent scoring and therefore drop points ?

I chose (a), hence my spectator status

I did the course over the weekend, content was great and picked up some great new sessions for training.
I've got my assessment next Sunday and am first up

My legs feel like someone has injected them with concrete this morning though, sore as £#%&!.
2 days of non stop football, running and sunshine has done me in.

Our coaches are an A licence cockney, decent bloke and a scouse lad who for a scouser is a top lad.
Did my drill yesterday as a test and passed it so should piss it next week.

don't need a badge to tell me how to understand the game.

roy keane has 'badges' and he couldn't manage his breakfast without marginalising himself.

A guy I know has a badge, tried to change his teams formation to 343 and got a letter in the post telling him it wasn't approved. Give me a break.

Its not about understanding the game fuzzles its about getting the most from your training sessions.
TBH I thought I knew a lot and my sessions were good, this weekend has given me loads of new ways to go about things and progressing a simple shooting exercise into something more.

Cracking course, would receommend it to anyone.

They're alot better than the FAI badges: you lot only have to demonstrate an ability to drag wild horses off the field of play and then recite a few rebel songs after you've had a few pints.

loving the arrogance. At the end of the day there are still no decent english managers for all your fancy badges and self respect.
