Saw an interview with Stephen Fry on Irish tv in which he was asked what he would say to "god" if he died and came face to face with him.

His answer was "Bone cancer in children, what's that about?"

I don't think he is, pal. His wife has just died of cancer.

Good post. One of my main principles in life, tbh. Think of the amount of times he'll have been told on Twitter that he doesn't look interested in football atm or is a waster. You never know what another is going through.

Poor guy

Very classy of him to thank the hospital staff the way he did, also.

Poor family - awful news :-(

As s single parent (really? You should have £#%&!ing said) he's going to have a nightmare.

With all the respect to Rio in the world, I would imagine his wife did the lions share of the kid stuff, wouldn't be surprised if she had spent her final alert weeks doing a proper handover of information/advice to him.

I hope his family and her family can pull through this for the kids, he's entering a bloody hard phase of his life.

Awful news.

'Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle'. - Ian Maclaren.

I try and follow it, but I literally despise almost everyone.

Following a rocky youth, Rio blossomed into a classy guy on and off the pitch imo. Fantastic ambassador for the club and someone who really seemed to understand just how privileged he was to play for United.

The Rio chant, then then standing applause from the whole ground was a nice touch. De Gea turned round to look at the crowd doing it, and then did a sign of the cross/kissed his glove.

Agree 100% mate. That was a touch to far though ffs. Half the inbreds in there were after caving his head in not 10 years back. I heard Waynes ear's started it off.
