Becoming 31 is a big deal for footballers.

When Samuel Eto'o hit 31 his club managers bought him a company chariot and got him front row seats at that weeks gig at the Coliseum.

I was just speaking to someone about this and they said that it stems from the owners snubbing him and his opinion that they did so because they're racist.

It's probably still %@#$&!s they're making up but it sounds more reasonable than the birthday stuff.

African players do seem to have a chip on their shoulder on occasion, who can blame them tbh.

Assuming it's a wage bump still not good news for City - adds to FFP

He's the epitome of City - only went there for absolutely crazy cash. Has probably realised that not only do people at City not give a £#%&! about him, but nobody really gives a £#%&! about City.

What's the buzz about playing at the Emptyhead with a quarter of blue seats on display? Man City - nobody cares.

They turned on Tevez who was a much bigger @#%&! (Toure is merely mentally #@&%!ed) and welcomed the £#%&!er back with open arms a few months later.

Gobshites.

Anyone else think this is one of the funniest things ever?

They win the title and within days it's overshadowed by their best player wanting out because nobody said happy birthday to him.

If he leaves we should use their shit Yaya/Kolo chant:

"Happy, happy birthday,
Happy birthday,
Happy! Birthday! Toure!"
