Default How come Real Madrid, Barca and Juventus are ahead of us in yearly revenues..

..yet one of them plays in serie B in an empty ground and the other two rarely fill their grounds? Also I'm sure we charge about 3 times more for tickets than they do.

United no longer command the largest yearly revenues, with their £158m surpassed by Real Madrid (£191m), Barcelona (£169m) and Juventus (£164m).

TV money.

In Spain & Italy they have individual TV rights, worth stupid amounts of money. Which also means they don't have to charge as much for tickets.

There's less TV money overall than here, but the big clubs get a higher percentage than us.

Those clubs all benefit greatly from tv deals. Plus they sell a lot of merchandising. And let's not forget the tv deals.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember hearing that in those countries the teams have different TV deals or something. I'm probably way off though.
