Met Sparky at Wrexham and I was so nervous of him, I sent my little cousin over to ask for his autograph.

She was 7, at the time.

I've met Mickey Thomas on thousands of occasions.I £#%&!ing love him.

And, I'm hoping to somehow bump into Billy Corgan at the MEN sometime tomorrow.

It has been dependent on how pissed I am in the past.

I still cringe about the time I 'talked' to Ryan Giggs in Aqua when it was called Cheerleaders.

It's best just to leave then to it, I find.

My best one was when I 'met' David Armstrong (ex Boro and Southampton) in Menorca when I was about 12.

- Excuse me mate, are you David Armstong?

- Yes.

And that was it!

You would say that with Adolph Hitler and Oswald Mosely both being dead.

Default Had a phase a few years ago after my F-I-L had died

..that we'd have my Mother-in-Law over (elderly Italian Lady).

We'd take her shopping at somewhere like M&S Handforth Dean and bizarrely she'd always bump into famous people and just start talking to them.

Remember Graeme Souness ( who was brilliant, had a laugh and took it all well ) was stood next to her.. she put some stuff in her trolley.. looked up, saw him..

"Allo Duck.. how are you ( think Yorkshire crossed with Italian ) ..how are you feeling these days.. because you weren't very well at all were you at one point" ..."where are you now" ( just been sacked by Blackburn ) ooh you look at lot nicer in flesh than on the tele, and you've got such a lovely smile.. you look ever so grumpy and serious on the tele..." he laughed and said his wife/partner said the same and then started talking about Italy.

Did similar with Eric Bristow.. told him he was taller than on the tele... and had a bigger nose !

I've got his mobile number

I saw him getting driven through Wembley after the Charity Shield. With me being pissed, I shouted 'GIVE US A LIFT MICKEY' and he asked me where I was going, he told me to jump in and got his driver to drop me off at J15 of the M1!

Ask him next time you see him!

Legend.

Stood behind Elvis Costello in a queue for the toilets in a restaurant in New York.. dressed all in black and looking surprisingly well. Told him that "Pump it up" was one of the first singles I bought (true) Didn't tell him that I recorded his albums on to cassette from a Mate.. Anyway.. don't wish to shatter illusions no fun, but the seat had piss on it when I followed him.

Met George Best. Held my eldest who was just a nipper at the time and we took a picture or two.. Alex was nagging him to go shopping.

Met Paddy Crerand who came over to our table because he know's my brother in law ( at Stock the Italian Restaurant) .. Lovely bloke.
