Football Sir Chip in New York today chirpsing Guardiola?

Apparently, The Big Frog is sounding him out for the United gig this summer.

Guardiola at United, Big Mou (and maybe Ronnie) at City next season

Bit meh on Guardiola.

Rather have Mourinho in charge, just think Guardiola will struggle wherever he goes.

Question

The real question is whether Super Pep will be able to perfect the 'Doughnut' strategy that Fergie's started, or insist on actually signing a midfielder or two.

pep's the polar opposite of fergie. while fergie packs the midfield with wingers, strikers, full backs and centre halves, pep's spent the last few years playing mascherano at centre half and fabregas in attack. could be more of a culture shock than the ropy-poly imo.

could easily be a problem. Any move for midfielders could be blocked by the fiend once he 'goes upstairs' transtlation: sticks his nose in everything.

as for sticking guardiolers as assistant oh I'm sure he'd be honoured. He wiped the floor with us twice in the biggest game in the club calender and you want him to be assitant to someone who can't even set up a midfield?

Still think Jose is the man to do it, but Pep would be my second choice.

It would be a fantastic idea to get him involved now, tell shorts & big mouth to £#%&! off & get Pep involved in the coaching immediately.
When Fergie steps down either next Summer or the one after Guardiola seamlessly takes over.

Won't happen in a million years though.
Phelan's got the hot seat in the bag imo

wouldn't be surprised if Sir Fiend had queiroz still lined up.

It's going to go south big time when Tito ends his reign of terror. He'll keep interfering and it'll be post Busby all over again.

We've already had Carrick at centre back, Fletcher/Valencia at right back, Rafael in midfield etc. Think the lads are ready for the Catalan Tombola tbh.

Think the fitness and performance of all the players will improve once Ramon Segura takes over the medical department

This is a lot closer to the truth tbh.

"We wanted Guardiola, nqat, but the lad always wanted to manage New York Red Bulls"
