United have 30 million to spend. Inter want 35-40 for Sneijder so they can buy Tevez. Spurs want the same for Modric because they know a few clubs are interested. Arsenal seem willing to take a loss on Nasri by holding onto him but would probably take 35-40.

That's where we are.

United seem to be the only ones interested in Sneijder, that he'd join, at the moment so they're probably trying to get the price down.

50 already spent plus 30 = the Ronaldo money... but I thought we had about 20 more in the so called "war chest" ?

I would honestly take a 'bad' season, to let the likes of welbeck, Cleverly, Pogba, develop.

All though we are in desperate need of a midfielder, and im not liking the sounds of fergies plan B which is obviously stick jones in there.

I agree.

It's the smokescreens & bullshit that annoys me.
We obviously can't afford to bring in a top class midfielder so just £#%&!ing well say so & stop posturing & talking about how many fans we've got around the world

If Fergie said "I can't afford to buy the players I need so I'm gonna go with the kids" I'd take that.
I just don't want another season of players out of position "doing a job" - I also don't want another season of negative football away from Old Trafford.

Latest on the Sneijder saga is that he has this week snubbed City's alleged interest in favour of a move to Utd who have informed Inter that they are willing to pay no more than £24m if they can't persuade him to drop his wage demands.

why would Inter sell for £24m? no wonder the deal is dead.

sneijder can't be that arsed either. he could do a lot more if he really wanted the move.

nft.

Just let it go lads. Threat of severe embarassment on the horizon.

The worlds a £#%&!ed up place when we all agree £24m is peanuts for a player

He gets £7m as a loyalty bonus by keeping quiet in fairness. That's a bit of a sticking point too I'd imagine and one of the reasons Inter want a big fee.

Well, that, and his age, injury record, wages and he's overrated, which is why Inter are keen to cash in.

ffs 24mil, it took that to get darren £#%&!ing bent.

If we need money, sell Gibson for 3, berbatov for 5 and pig for 1.

The wages saved from those would cover his.

Inter manager this morning....

At the moment? It's on YET AGAIN!

They've been trying to sell at least 2 of those 3, but there's not exactly a stampede for them.
